This policy explains what personal data NEXRYDE collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how you can delete it. It applies to riders, drivers and anyone visiting our website. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the EU GDPR.

1. Who we are

NEXRYDE ("we", "us") operates a ride-hailing platform in Nigeria. Data protection contact: admin@admoblordgroup.com.

2. Data we collect

Account data	Name, email address, phone number, username, gender (optional), profile photo, password/PIN in hashed form.
Identity & verification	National Identification Number (stored masked, last 4 digits visible), selfie/face verification result, and for drivers: licence, vehicle documents, guarantor details.
Location	Precise device location while you are using the app to request, match, navigate and track a trip. Drivers share location while online. Background location is used only during an active trip or while a driver is online.
Trip data	Pickup and drop-off points, routes, timestamps, fares, ratings, cancellations, in-trip chat and call metadata.
Payment data	Wallet balance, transaction records and payment references. Card details are handled by our licensed payment processor; we never store full card numbers.
Device & diagnostics	Device model, OS version, app version, push token, crash and performance reports.
Safety data	SOS activations, emergency contacts you add, incident reports and safety-related audio/telemetry where you trigger it.

3. Why we use it

To create and secure your account and verify identity (fraud and safety screening).
To match riders with drivers, calculate fares, navigate and complete trips.
To process payments, wallet top-ups, promotions and referrals.
To provide safety features: SOS, trip sharing, driver/rider verification, incident response.
To provide customer support and resolve disputes.
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and policy violations.
To send service notifications, and — with your consent — offers and promotions.
To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations in Nigeria.

4. Who we share it with

Other users, limited: a driver sees a rider's first name, photo, pickup/drop-off and rating; a rider sees the driver's name, photo, vehicle and rating.
Service providers: hosting and database providers, mapping and navigation (Google Maps Platform), payment processors, SMS/push delivery, crash and analytics tooling — all bound by contract to process data only on our instructions.
Emergency and law enforcement: where you trigger SOS, or where we are legally required, or to protect life and prevent serious harm.
We do not sell your personal data.

5. How long we keep it

Account and profile data: for as long as your account is active.
After a deletion request: account and personal data removed within 30 days.
Trip, payment and tax records: retained for up to 7 years where Nigerian law requires, in restricted form.
Safety investigations and disputes: retained until the matter is closed.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, withdraw consent, object to processing, and complain to a supervisory authority. To exercise any right, email admin@admoblordgroup.com.

Deleting your account

In the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. From the web: nexryde-ui.emergent.host/delete-account.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), passwords and PINs are hashed, access to production data is restricted and audited, and payment card data never touches our servers.

8. Children

NEXRYDE is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. International transfers

Some providers process data outside Nigeria. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses.

10. Changes

We will post any update on this page and, where the change is material, notify you in the app.
