These terms govern your use of the NEXRYDE apps, website and services. By creating an account or taking a trip, you accept them.

1. What NEXRYDE is

NEXRYDE is a technology platform that connects riders with independent drivers in Nigeria. We are not a transport carrier; drivers provide the transport service as independent contractors.

2. Eligibility and your account

• You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information, including identity verification where requested.
• Your account is personal. Keep your PIN, password and device secure, and tell us immediately if you suspect misuse.
• Drivers must hold a valid licence, roadworthy vehicle, required documents and any applicable local permits.

3. Rides, fares and payment

• Fares are estimated before you book and calculated from distance, time, demand and any applicable fees, tolls or waiting time.
• Cancellation fees may apply when a driver has already travelled towards your pickup point.
• Payment is made by wallet, card or cash where offered. Wallet balances are not transferable and are not interest-bearing.
• Promotions, referrals and credits are subject to their own conditions and can be withdrawn if abused.

4. Driver earnings and subscriptions

• Drivers earn the trip fare less the applicable service fee or subscription plan they selected.
• Subscription plans renew as described at purchase and can be cancelled before the next renewal date.
• Payouts are made to the bank account on the driver's verified profile.

5. Conduct and safety

• No violence, harassment, discrimination, weapons, illegal items, intoxication or unsafe driving.
• Riders must not damage vehicles; drivers must keep vehicles clean, roadworthy and insured.
• Safety features (SOS, trip sharing, ride recording where offered) must not be misused. False emergency reports may lead to account loss.
• We may suspend or close an account for policy breaches, fraud, or where safety requires it.

6. Ratings and content

You are responsible for content you submit, including ratings, comments, photos and chat messages. We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive or misleading.

7. Availability

We work to keep the service available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maps, navigation, payment and network services depend on third parties.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, NEXRYDE is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law.

9. Ending the agreement

You may stop using NEXRYDE at any time and delete your account in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account) or via our deletion page. We may end or suspend access for breach of these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts, without affecting statutory rights you have elsewhere.
